2. Pick the Right Camera

Every studio needs a camera. But do you really need the latest cinema-grade camera to make great content? Absolutely not.

What is considered affordable to some, may be considered expensive to others, so how do you know when you've found the right camera for your stage of the video journey?

A more important question to ask yourself is whether or not you are investing in your skillset? You can have the most expensive camera used in Hollywood, but it won't mean much if you don't know how it works!

Start small and take the time to develop as a videographer. As you grow, your next camera will be the obvious choice.

3. Choose the Right Microphone

Now that you've chosen the right camera for your budget, it's time to find the best way to capture audio. Don't skip this step! Bad audio will make even the best videos feel amateur.

Microphones come in all shapes, colors, sizes, and prices. They all serve a specific purpose, and there really is no "one-size-fits-all" option. In this lesson, I'll walk you through the microphones that are most commonly used in video so you can choose the right mic for your setup.

There is a lot of emphasis on camera quality and audio often gets overlooked. Capturing high-quality audio is critical to producing a professional video, so don't skip out on this step!
